-UNM evens its record at 2-2 on the year while Texas falls for the first time and is now 3-1
-The Lobos led 37-22 at halftime despite only shooting 34.6% from the field...New Mexico did hit five three pointers and was 14-15 from the FT line the first half
-UNM held Texas to just 23.5% in the first half and 0-4 from behind the arc, but the Longhorns came back to shoot 51.9% in the second half
-The Lobos led 55-38 on a FT by Dionne Marsh with 7:15 left in the game....Texas outscored UNM 22-8 over the next 6:30 to cut the lead to three 63-60 with 41:3 left in the game...New Mexico's last field goal came at 8:33 as the Lobos went 0-8 from the field and had four turnovers the rest of the game.
-The Lobos even their record with the Longhorns at 3-3...UNM has now won two-straight against Texas, downing the No. 12 Longhorns 76-68 on Nov. 18, 2005 in Austin, Texas.
-Sr Julie Briody scored 16 of her season-high 18 points in the first half...she also grabbed seven of her career-high-tying 8 boards in the opening half...she was 4-12 from the floor, 2-8 from 3-pt. range and 8-8 from the FT line
-Jr Dionne Marsh pumped in a season-high 20 points on 5-18 shooting from the floor and 10-13 from the FT line...she also had six rebounds
-Fr Amy Beggin came off the bench for a season-high eight points, including a pair of three-pointers in the game...She also had four boards and two assists
