LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The 18th-ranked New Mexico men's golf team stands in a tie for 14th place with a score of 302 (+14) after one round of the prestigious Southern Highlands College Championship, hosted by UNLV. No. 1 Florida leads the field, which includes five top 10 teams, with a score of 277 (-11).

Spencer Levin (38-37) and Ian Medlock (41-34) each shot a 3-over 75 to place in a tie for 43rd to lead the Lobos. Jay Choi (40-36) and Charlie Beljan (42-34) are both in a tie for 56th with a 4-over 76. Jay Reynolds carded a 7-over 79 (39-40).

Individually, Henry Liaw of Arizona leads after one round with a 7-under 65.

Second round action of the Southern Highlands College Championship resumes tomorrow morning, while the final round will take place on Sunday, March 14. Live results of the tournament are available at www.GolfStat.com.
