Don Flanagan on overall game
"Offensive rebounding is what really hurt us; they had 19, we had five. We didn't block out well the second half. So when you're given second chance opportunities, you don't have to shoot that high of a percentage to be that successful. The big kid (McIntyre) really hurt us inside. We were at a big time disadvantage at post play; they saw that and took advantage of it. We didn't run our offense as well as we could have. We're still suffering from not attacking as much as I'd like. The improvement is tremendous in the last two weeks. I'm really happy with the effort and attitude. If you play somebody that's good enough, it's really going to challenge you. I'm not disappointed. We had the last shot in regulation and it just rimmed out. We keep getting better."
Amanda Best on second double overtime of the season
"I just love this team. We're all fighters and we're never going to give up, that showed tonight. That team was tall, we were so under-sized and we just kept battling. I'm really proud of our team. We did lose but we still showed that we're a tough team and no one is going to come in here and beat us easily."
Best on missing the last shot in regulation
"I just could not hit tonight and it was really frustrating. I wish I could have made that shot. I thought it was close."
Lauren Taylor on team development
"We've already improved in the last two weeks. Our coach even said he was proud of the improvement in just two weeks. We're learning to run our offense better and play better as a team. We're learning who can take which shot and who we can depend on when the game's on the line. We're definitely blending better and I think we're going to keep growing exponentially."
Taylor on team improvement
"I think if you put us back in front of Texas Tech, it'd be a totally different game. We've gained so much in confidence lately. We're a completely different team."
Oklahoma State Head Coach Quotes
"We have a very young team, if you look at our stats you will see that we had a lot of freshmen out there on the court, and they came through for us. We like to come out and bring teams because one, Don Flanagan is a fantastic coach and we know that every time we come out here his team is going to give us the best that they have; and two because the fans that they have out here are some of the best fans in the country. They know their basketball and they're never rude. It's a great atmosphere to play in. To come out here and win is good for the team."
