Sept. 29, 2010
Albuquerque, N.M. --- A 16-game home schedule, including the New Mexico Thanksgiving Tournament, make head coach Don Flanagan's 2010-11 women's basketball schedule a must-have ticket. Those must-have tickets for the 2010-11 season in the renovated Pit go on sale starting Sept. 30 at the UNM ticket offices.
The schedule features 16 home games, including two exhibitions, six non-conference home games, and the always-challenging Mountain West slate. The non-conference schedule is particularly attractive on the home side of things.
Texas Tech, California, Arizona, and New Mexico State are some of the headliners coming to the Pit this season, along with the popular Thanksgiving Tournament. That tournament will see the Lobos play San Francisco on Friday, Nov. 26, and then either Rhode Island or Oklahoma State on Sat., Nov. 27.
The women's team will get their first action in the Pit on November 9 when the Lobos host Western New Mexico in an exhibition contest three days before the Texas Tech game. Season ticket packages for the 16-game season begin at $94 for adults and $45 for youth. Tickets can be purchased at the UNM Ticket Office at 1155 University Blvd. SE, SSSC Building, First Floor, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Single game tickets, which will go on sale Nov. 2, can also be purchased online at www.golobos.com or www.unmtickets.com, or by calling the UNM Ticket Office at 505-925-5858. Single game tickets also can be purchased at most Albertsons Supermarket Ticket Outlets from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. Click here for a list of participating Albertsons locations.
Last year the Lobos went 19-13 and advanced to the second round of the WNIT. That WNIT trip was New Mexico's 13th straight postseason appearance under Don Flanagan.
