ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The Lobos continue a three game homestand on Wednesday night, with the second of three games, as they play host to the Aztecs of San Diego State University. New Mexico is 13-7 on the year and 3-4 in the MWC, while San Diego State is 9-9 this season and 2-5 in conference play. Tip-off from The Pit is scheduled for 7:00 PM and can be heard live on 610 AM The Sports Animal.

TONIGHT'S GAME: Tonight's game features the Lobos of the University of New Mexico playing host to the Aztecs of San Diego State University in a Mountain West Conference game.

SCOUTING THE LOBOS: New Mexico is 13-7 this season and 3-4 in the MWC with victories over Florida Atlantic (74-44), No. 25 Texas (63-60), Georgia Southern (64-43), Siena (78-39), New Mexico State (81-47 and 65-45), at Arizona (76-63), Sam Houston State (77-41), UCLA (72-63), Northern Arizona (62-51), Colorado State (73-42), Air Force (60-46) and UNLV (77-56) and losses to No. 12/13 Arizona State (67-49), Nebraska (66-59), No. 7/8 Oklahoma (80-58), Wyoming (54-51), Utah (49-48), BYU (63-59) and TCU (67-43). UNM is led in scoring by senior Julie Briody at 15.9 ppg and rebounding by junior Dionne Marsh at 6.3 rpg. Leading the Lobos in assists is senior Katie Montgomery at 3.3 apg.

SCOUTING THE AZTECS: San Diego State is 9-9 on the year and 2-5 in the conference with wins over UC Davis (59-52), Southern Utah (55-52), Wichita State (74-73 OT), Cal Poly (70-68 OT), St. Mary's (62-57), Pepperdine (64-53), Brown (63-52), Air Force (60-51) and Colorado State (75-66) and losses to Nevada (68-62), San Diego (76-46), Utah Valley State (75-44), George Washington (76-42), Utah (51-48), UNLV (71-54), Wyoming (71-47), BYU (54-49) and TCU (83-57). Leading the Aztecs in scoring and rebounding is Jennifer Layton at 10.6 ppg and 6.0 rpg, while Quenese Davis leads them in assists at 5.4 apg.

THE COACHES: UNM is led by head coach Don Flanagan who enters his 12th season at New Mexico. Flanagan is 252-111 at UNM. The head coach of San Diego State is Beth Burns who is in her 10th season as an Aztec and 15th overall. Burns has a record of 163-116 at SDSU and 244-181 overall.

THE SERIES: This will be the first of two meetings between New Mexico and San Diego State and the 34th meeting overall with the Lobos holding a 20-13 advantage. New Mexico also won both meetings last season and is 9-5 against the Aztecs in The Pit.
