"That was a great college basketball game. I appreciate the fans I though it was a tremendous atmosphere. There aren't to many atmospheres like this in college basketball. I take my hat off to BYU, they are the 25th team in the country. Our kids have been in this position before. I thought our kids battled. I told them from day one that I would never be upset with missed shots if they were good shots. We got great effort tonight."
"They got the job done better one more possession than we did. We missed a lot of shots that we normally make. That's the worst three point shooting we've had all year and we still only lose by one point to the best team in our league. We had a lot of open looks and they are a very good defensive team. If you have a team with really good shooting percentages and we all have a bad shooting night it makes it hard. We lost by one point to this team in overtime. Five weeks ago we got blown out. We were down 35 with nine minutes to go. We've gotten better and we've improved."
BYU head coach Dave Rose
"Our guys played. I was just really proud of how they battled. It was competitive and back and forth and kind of what we expected in this game and the guys just gave it everything they have. We made one more play. We had some guys really step up and make plays. I think our guys did a good job of challenging, but they had some open looks. We are fortunate. You just want your players to fight thought whatever was presented to them and tonight we were able to make one more play.
"It's a great environment to play in, I've said this before. It's what we all sign up for, it what we all want. We want big crowds, we exciting games; we want important games, games that mean a lot. It's good to see your players respond in those situations."
