Coronado Finishes Third in International Competition

Junior Katie Coronado finished third with a throw of 162' 1" (49.41m) at the North America, Central America and Caribbean Athletic Association Under-23 Track and Field Championships on June 20 in Toluca, Mexico. In an event that is held every once every two year Coronado helped team USA repeat as medal count winners. Team USA brought home 62 medals including 28 gold. Mexico finished a distant second with 19 medals.

Coronado finished behind fellow team USA member Ruby Radocaj who took home the silver medal and Canadian Elizabeth Gleadle who had a gold medal toss of 169' 10" (51.76m).
