Albuquerque, N.M. --- The University of New Mexico cross country teams, which are both nationally-ranked, will head to the Midwest this weekend as they take on a large field at the Adidas/Notre Dame Invitational. The women's race will take place at 2:15 p.m. Mountain, and the men's race at 3 p.m. Mountain.

The Lobos are both still high up in the national polls. The men are ranked fifth in the Mountain region, and 21st nationally, while the women are the top squad in the Mountain, and second in the nation, behind only defending national champion Georgetown.

The Adidas/Notre Dame Invitational consists of a Blue Division (for smaller schools) and a Gold Division. The women's race, which is held first, features a stellar field, including six nationally-ranked squads. The Lobos will get tough challenges from the likes of Florida State and Princeton, among others.

The men's race has just as star-studded a field, with seven nationally-ranked squads doing battle.
