Albuquerque, NM --- Lobo fans will get to see their team on September 4 as UNM athletics and Lobo Sports Properties have teamed with Comcast to broadcast New Mexico's season opener with the #11 Oregon Ducks live on Channel 77 across the state of New Mexico. The partnership for the game with Comcast means that all 12 games of the 2010 season will be televised.

B.R. Holbrrok and company will be seen statewide on Comcast

Comcast Channel 77 is on the basic cable package and the game will reach the following areas: Albuquerque (channel 77), Farmington (9), Gallup (21), Grants (10), Las Cruces (9), Las Vegas (23), Los Alamos (10), Lovington (51), Portales (52), Santa Fe (21), Silver City (66), Socorro (12), Taos (28), Tucumcari (47). The game also will reach into Texas, where 17 Lobos currently hail from, broadening UNM's reach.

"Comcast is a great supporter of Lobo Athletics and we are excited that they will broadcast our opening football game statewide in New Mexico," said Paul Krebs, Vice President of Athletics. "It is something that is important to our program, and to our fans. Having all 12 games televised this season means our fans can follow Lobo football all season long."

Comcast will be picking up the University of Oregon feed at 12:30 pm and will stay with the game until it's conclusion. There will be a full screen logo up for 30 minutes prior to kick-off so that viewers can rest assured they are on the right channel prior to the start of the game.

"This is a unique opportunity for Comcast to partner with UNM to bring New Mexico the best in local sports," said Tom Kinney, New Mexico Vice President of Comcast Cable. "Showing the Lobos' season opener on Comcast is a way for us to add value for our customers."

The Lobos are entering their second season under head coach Mike Locksley, and will be facing the #11 Ducks for the first time. The Lobos will be looking to score their first upset of a ranked team since a 47-35 win over #23 Utah in Salt Lake City in 2003.
