University of New Mexico women's golfer Jodi Ewart is one shot out of the lead heading into the final round of the Arizona Wildcat Invitational being played in Puerto Penasco, Mexico. Ewart fired a 1-under 71 today on the par-72, 6,146-yard Nicklaus Legacy Course. She is tied with Arizona State's Carlota Ciganda and UCLA's Stephanie Kono for third place at 1-under 143.
Arizona State's Juliana Murcia and Pia Halbig from California share the individual lead at 2-under 142.

The Lobos are in 12th place in the 17-team field that features nine teams ranked in the top-25. UNM shot a 305 today for a 36-hole total of 38-over 614. First round leader UCLA lost five strokes off its opening day lead, but still sits three strokes ahead of Arizona State at 6-over 582. Southern Cal is in third place at 589 while Pepperdine (590) and Oklahoma State (592) round out the top five.
UNM senior Morgan Grantham had a 77 today and remains tied for 45th at 11-over 155. Freshman Sarah Salvo is tied for 65th at 15-over 159 after a 79 in the second round. Freshman Rebecca Hellbom shot 78 is a shot back at 16-over 160, tied for 69th. Senior Mikaela Backstedt rounds out the Lobo scoring at 17-over 161. She had an 82 today.
