RIO GRANDE, PUERTO RICO - Junior Spencer Levin completed his first round of play representing the United States in a T12th out of 198 golfers at the World Amateur Team Championships. Levin shot a 3-under par 69 on the 6,873 par-72 Rio Mar Country Club River Course in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. The United States is currently first out of 66 countries after an opening round 12-under par 132, four strokes in front of Italy.

Levin's 69, though didn't count toward the U.S. total as only the top two individual scores count toward the team. Ryan Moore of the U.S. is in first with a 7-under par 65 and Lee Williams of the U.S. is in third with a 5-under par 67.

The World Amateur Team Championship continues with the second round tomorrow. Levin's tee time is scheduled for 6:20 a.m. (MST) at the Rio Mar Country Club Ocean Course. Follow all of the results at www.golfstat.com.
