On Monday, October 11th the men's basketball team will begin their "Read to Grow and Succeed" community outreach program at Eubank Elementary, running from 1:10 - 2:10 p.m. The program will consist of three men's basketball student-athletes reading books that are chosen by the teachers and students of Eubank Elementary that have both sport and personal character themes.

During the course of the school year, third and grade grade students at Eubank Elementary will be asked to complete a reading list. Once the book list is complete the students will each be rewarded with an autograph poster and/or possible tour of the renovated Pit. Eubanks Elementary third and fourth grade Literacy Instructor Mrs. Moodie is helping coordinate this event from her end.

The program is designed to encourage the importance of reading to the youth, and it allows the members of the men's basketball team to serve as role models and be a positive influence in the community.
