The University of New Mexico men's basketball team took a visit to Laguna-Acoma Middle School on Monday, following their road win at Wyoming last weekend. The Lobos took part in light workouts and an autograph session for 350 students and fans in attendance.
The Lobos started the day with light drills and shooting in front of the middle school and elementary students. They picked things up during one of their shooting drills and with some of the Lobos putting on a slam dunk showcase. Redshirt freshman Kem Nweke received the loudest applause when one of his slams broke the backboard on one end. Following their hour-long workout, the Lobo signed autographs and took photos with the students and fans.
UNM next hits the court on Saturday, Jan. 12, against San Diego State. Game time is 7:00 p.m. and is Pack the Pit with all tickets going for $10.
