Recap |  Box Score

Final Score: BYU 60, New Mexico 55

• 16th-ranked New Mexico drops to 16-5 overall and 6-2 in the Mountain West Conference... No. 19 BYU improves to 18-1 overall, 8-0 in the MWC

• New Mexico had its 4-game winning streak snapped...BYU has won 10 in a row

• BYU leads the overall series 34-20, including 22-4 in Provo...New Mexico had won 5 of the past 6 before tonight

• UNM is now 12-22 all-time against ranked opponents, 3-4 in 2005-06

• Trailing 29-19 in the first half, the Lobos got their only lead of the game at the 5:20 mark when sophomore Dionne Marsh scored to give UNM a 52-50 edge...however, BYU went on a 10-1 run down the stretch for a decisive 60-53 advantage...Marsh finally got a FG with 3.4 seconds left, meaning the Lobos went more than five minutes without a basket...in between, UNM missed 7 shots and turned the ball over 3 times

• Marsh finished with 25 points, one shy of her season high, and 10 rebounds, for her 2nd straight double-double, 3rd of the season and 6th of her career...she also made the 4th 3-pointer of her career...during one stretch in the first half, Marsh scored 14 of UNM's 16 points

• New Mexico missed its first 10 shots from the floor in falling behind 8-0...the Lobos also had 3 turnovers before junior Katie Montgomery got the team's first points - a 3 - with 13:38 left in the first half

• BYU leading scorer Ambrosia Anderson was held to 7 points on 3-12 shooting from the floor before fouling out with 7:20 remaining...she came into the game averaging 19.4 ppg

• Seldom-used redshirt freshman Morgan Saso scored 4 points in just 6 second-half minutes to equal her scoring total for the entire season...Saso came into the evening having played just 13 minutes in 7 games

• New Mexico lost for the first time this year when allowing less than 70 points...the Lobos had been 15-0 in that situation

• The Lobos also lost for only the 2nd time in 14 games this season when gathering more rebounds than the opposition...UNM held a 41-31 edge tonight and has out-rebounded nine straight foes
