The University of New Mexico Ski Team finished the Denver Invitational in third place today in Winter Park, Colo. Senior Martina Stursova wom the women's 5K Classic race, the fourth win of her career. UNM finished the race with 493 points, while the women's Nordic squad won the 10K Classic race today. Denver won the meet with 565 points, followed by Utah with 523 points.

Stursova topped her second place finish in the women's freestyle race yesterday by winning her first Classic race of the season. She joined UNM for the Denver Invite after spending the last few weeks training with the Cxech National team. Junior Trine Lundamo place third in the race while senior Andrea Roberts finished 15th. Also racing for UNM were senior Pirkko Pulkkanen (16th) and freshman Tiffany Callahan (22nd).

The men's Nordic team was led by junior Geir-Endre Rogn's eight place finish. Sophomore's Dirk Grimm and Jedd Young placed 10th and 30th, respectively. The Lobo men's Nordic team finished fifth in their 15K Classic race today.

On the Alpine side, the UNM men placed third overall in today's slalom race. UNM was led by Lars Loeseth's fifth place showing. He was the only Lobo in the top-10.

The women's Alpine team finished fourth in their slalom race. They were led by freshman Lene Kaasa's 14th place finish.
