ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico Women’s Basketball program will have their final two home games of the season broadcasted locally on television after partnering with uPublic for the pair of games. UPublic will broadcast the game on their locally-owned Channel 26 for Comcast cable subscribers.
The two games are Wednesday, March 6 versus Nevada at 6:30 p.m. (MT) and Saturday, March 9 versus Air Force at 2 p.m. The game against Air Force will also be Senior Day for the program, which will honor UNM’s four seniors. The pair of contests also marks the first televised games of the season for Coach Sanchez and company. Calling the game will be Jeff Siembieda (play by play) from 610 AM The Sports Animal and Janice Ruggiero (color analyst). Ruggiero played for the Lobos from 1984-87 and was an assistant coach from 1991-93.
The premium CBS Sports web stream, which has been provided all-season long to subscribers through GoLobos.com, will still be available online.
The Nevada and Air Force games in The Pit are the final two regular season games for the team before they move on to the Mountain West Conference Tournament in Las Vegas the following week.
The Lobos are wrapping up conference play and fighting for conference tournament positioning. New Mexico plays at Wyoming on Saturday afternoon before coming home to The Pit for their final two regular season games.
