Lobos Sixth After One Round at the Windon Memorial

GLENCOE, Ill. - The University of New Mexico men's golf team is tied for sixth after one round of play at the Windon Memorial Classic in Glencoe, Illinois. The second round was suspended due to darkness and will pick up on Monday morning. The Lobos shot an opening round 304 on the par-71 Skokie Country Club Course. The team lead belongs to Michigan State at 6-over par.

Individually UNM was led by sophomore Nick Geyer at 3-over par. Geyer is tied for 12th after his first round 74. Other Lobo results are junior Robb Bierbaum is tied for 17th at 4-over par, sophomore Dan Saltz is tied for 32nd at 6-over par, sophomore Steve Saunders is tied for 39th at 7-over par and freshman Kyle Nielsen is 59th at 13-over par.

The individual lead belongs to Matt Harmon of Michigan State at 2-under par, one stroke in front of Colt Knost of SMU.
