ROCKY FACE, Ga. - The University of New Mexico men's golf team is currently second after one round of play at the tough Carpet Capital Collegiate. The Lobos shot a 7-over par, 295, on the 7,010 yard par-72 Farm Golf Club. UNM trails Georgia by 5-strokes.

Senior Madalitso Muthiya (mu-TEE-ah) led the Lobos with a 2-under par 70, for second place and trails David Denham of Georgia by a stroke. Junior Jay Choi is also in the top-10 tied for seventh at even-par (72). Other Lobo results are junior Spencer Levin is tied for 18th at 2-over par (74), senior Jay Reynolds is tied for 56th at 7-over par (79) and senior Miguel Griego is tied for 81st at 11-over par (83).
