ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The University of New Mexico women's basketball team returns to The Pit Saturday, afternoon for a battle with the University of Wyoming. The Lobos coming off a two game road trip are 12-4 on the season and 2-1 in the MWC, while the Cowgirls are 12-2 overall and also 2-1 in the conference. Tip-off Saturday at The Pit is set for 3:00 p.m.

TONIGHT'S GAME: Tonight's game features the No. 18/18 Lobos of the University of New Mexico as they play host to the Cowgirls of the University of Wyoming in a Mountain West Conference game.

SCOUTING THE LOBOS: UNM is 12-4 on the season and 2-1 in conference with a 69-52 victory over Oral Roberts in the first round of the preseason WNIT, a 55-46 win over Cal in the second round, a 74-63 loss to No. 22 Oklahoma in the WNIT semifinals, a 76-68 win at No. 12 Texas, a 61-54 victory over Marist, a 56-52 win over Oklahoma State, a 62-44 victory over No. 10 Minnesota, a 73-61 loss to No. 12 Arizona State, a 70-57 win over Louisiana Monroe, a 75-59 victory over North Dakota State, a 79-77 win in triple-overtime at New Mexico State, a second loss to Oklahoma 83-70, a victory over New Mexico State 55-42, a win against No. 22 Utah 59-42, victory at Colorado State 73-57 and a loss at TCU 76-67. New Mexico is led in scoring by sophomore Dionne Marsh at 15.6 ppg. Senior Abbie Letz leads the team in rebounding at 8.3 rpg., while junior Katie Montgomery leads UNM in assists at 3.8 apg.

SCOUTING THE COWGIRLS: Wyoming is currently 12-2 on the year and 2-1 in the MWC with wins over Sacramento (47-35), at Colorado (66-50), Montana (50-45), at Denver (62-47), Boise State (68-54), Northern Colorado (71-47), Chadron State (75-39), at Utah State (73-59), at Weber State (51-36), Idaho State (78-60), TCU (68-67), at Air Force (64-55), with losses to Kansas State (65-55) and at UNLV (65-56). Leading the Cowgirls in all three statistical categories is Hanna Zavecz at 14.4 ppg., 6.0 rpg. and 4.6 apg.
