No. 6 Lobo Women's Golf In Third Place Heading Into Final Round At Ping/Arizona State Invitational

TEMPE, Ariz. - The sixth-ranked New Mexico women's golf team is in third place with a 12-over 588 (300-288) heading into the final round of the Ping/Arizona State Invitational Sunday morning. The Lobos shot two rounds on Saturday after play was suspended due to rain on Friday. No. 2 UCLA is currently leading the field with a 3-over 579.

Junior Kailin Downs leads the Lobos as she is in a tie for eighth place. Downs shot a 1-over 145 (73-72) on Saturday.

Freshman Ashley Rollins shot a 2-under 70 in her second round to pull into a tie for 16th. Overall, she is 3-over (77-70--147).

Junior Christina Spence, playing in her first tournament this season in the starting lineup, is in a tie for 24th with a 5-over 149 (75-74).

Junior Shannon Johnson is in a tie for 37th (79-72--151) and senior Katrina Leckovic is in a tie for 43rd (75-77--152).

Washington's Paige Mackenzie leads the field with a 4-under 140.
