ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The University of New Mexico has once again elected to go with FieldTurf, the industry leader in artificial turf. School officials recently announced the decision to install FieldTurf Revolution at University Stadium, home to the school's football team since 1960, and host to the New Mexico Bowl which started in 2006. The installation follows the school's recent decision to install FieldTurf DoublePlay Classic at Lobo Baseball Park.

The process of changing the field at University Stadium from natural grass to field turf began this week as bulldozers and dump trucks took out the natural grass. The team expects to have the artificial surface in place for the Sept. 1 season and home opener against Southern.
