Tempe, Ariz. - Junior left-handed pitcher Rudy Jaramillo was recognized for his play in the Tempe Regional by being named to the All-Regional team, as announced on Sunday night.

Jaramillo had a stellar performance in the Lobos opening game against host Arizona State in the Tempe Regional bracket of the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship.

In front of family and friends, the native Arizonan shut down ASU’s offense, giving up just two runs on four hits to go along with four strikeouts in eight innings of work.

Jaramillo had his team in position to beat the top-ranked Sun Devils before being replaced in the bottom of the ninth. The Lobos were up 2-1 going into the inning, having led the entire game, until the Sun Devils scored a walk-off three-run homer against Jaramillo’s relief pitching to give ASU a 4-2 victory.
