COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - New Mexico senior Dionne Marsh and Wyoming sophomore Aubrey Vandiver have been named the Mountain West Conference Women's Basketball Co-Players of the Week.

Marsh earns her first weekly honor of the season after helping the Lobos to their third tournament title of the season at the Comcast Lobo Shootout. Marsh averaged 20.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, earning the Most Valuable Player award for the tournament. Against Norfolk State, she scored a season-high 21 points and pulled down a team-high nine rebounds. Marsh chipped in 20 points against Towson in the championship game, while recording eight rebounds. The Flower Mound, Texas, native finished the tournament with a 61.1 shooting percentage and made 19-of-23 free throws. She is averaging 15.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per contest on the season, ranking her sixth and ninth place in the league for the two categories, respectively.

Vandiver also led her team to a tournament title and earned MVP honors at the KCRG-TV9 Hawkeye Classic Challenge in Iowa City, Iowa, last weekend. The Laramie, Wyo., product averaged 13.7 points, four rebounds and 2.3 assists during the Cowgirls' 2-1 run against Colorado, Saint Joseph's and Iowa. In the win against St. Joseph's, she helped key a comeback for Wyoming when she scored seven straight points on a 51-48 deficit to put the Cowgirls up by two with 3:28 remaining. The Cowgirls would never relinquish the lead and Vandiver ended the game shooting a season-high .700 (7-10) from the field. Against Iowa, the guard was also instrumental in securing a come-from-behind victory after sinking a three-pointer with 2:24 remaining to put the Cowgirls ahead by one. She went on to score the final six points for her team, including the last two free throws to seal a triumph over the Hawkeyes. This also marks Vandiver's first weekly honor of the season.
