New Mexico Head Coach Don Flanagan
"I thought we should've had more points in the paint. We ran our offense a little bit better until about 12 minutes to go and then it wasn't very pretty. The offense is getting better, but I was more concerned with the defense.
They (ULM) have not shown that they are a good three-point shooting team, yet they go 8 for 21 against us. I don't know if its our defense or their offense that allows them to shoot a high percentage from the three-point line. I thought we passed the ball a little bit better tonight, but we can't get outscored in the second half. It looked like we were getting real casual out there and I was disturbed by that. We'll see if we can't correct that by tomorrow, be a little bit more focused, play a little bit harder throughout the game and finish the game in a positive fashion."
