Stotland And Kowalski Bow Out Of Icy Hot/ITA All-American Tourney

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Juniors Ryan Stotland and David Kowalski entered 2003 Icy Hot/ITA All-American Championships in Chattanooga, Tenn., competing in the round of 64.

Stotland and Kowalski came up just shy in the round of 64, both falling 7-6, 6-3. Stotland took on Peter Stroer of Texas while Kowalski battled the fifth seeded Pierrick Ysern of San Diego.

The pair will remain at the tournament, taking part in the main doubles draw which starts Thursday, Oct. 9. Senior Divan Coetzee will also be present, participating in the singles draw.

The rest of the New Mexico men's tennis team will be at the UNM Tennis Complex hosting the annual Balloon Fiesta Tournament this weekend. Action will take place all day Oct. 10-12.
