Against New Mexico State: The Lobos hold a 144-72 series lead over one of the oldest rivals in school history, New Mexico State. Scores go back to 1948 for the series. More recently, the Lobos are 8-2 against the Aggies since the 2006 season. UNM took two games from NMSU in Las Cruces on March 18, 12-3 and 8-6.

Up Next: The Lobos host Vermont in a four-game series at Isotopes Park, March 28-30. Game time on Friday night has been pushed back to 7 p.m. Saturday's doubleheader begins at 2 p.m., followed by Sunday's 1 p.m. start.

• Route 66 Casino Hotel Rio Grande Rivalry ... The Lobo baseball team picked up 1.5 points for UNM in the 2007-08 Rio Grande Rivalry on Tuesday, March 18. Each game of the doubleheader with NMSU was worth .75 points. UNM holds a 12-6 lead in the rivalry with just five events left in the all-year competition.

• Hamilton Named MWC Player of the Week ... Junior Dane Hamilton earned Mountain West Conference Player of the Week honors for his five-game performance last week at New Mexico State and TCU. Hamilton was a base-running machine on March 18 at NMSU. The starting left fielder got on base four times in each game of the doubleheader, scoring each time for eight runs on the day. In Game One, Hamilton was 3 of 5 with two doubles and followed that up in Game Two at 2 of 3 with two walks. Hamilton continued to make contact against TCU, March 20-22, and ended up hitting .526 for the week.

• Lobos vs. Isotopes, Tuesday, April 1, 6 p.m. at Isotopes Park ... For the fourth consecutive year, the Lobos will play the Albuquerque Isotopes in an exhibition game - Tuesday, April 1 at 6 p.m. at Isotopes Park - the home field for both teams. In 2007, the Lobos fell in an exhibition game with the Albuquerque Isotopes, Triple-A affiliate of the Florida Marlins. The `Topes rallied from a 2-1 deficit in the third to beat UNM, 8-2, in front of 2,600 fans.
