Against Albuquerque Isotopes: For the fourth consecutive year, the Lobos will play the Albuquerque Isotopes in an exhibition game at Isotopes Park - the home field for both teams. In 2007, the Lobos fell in an exhibition game with the Albuquerque Isotopes, Triple-A affiliate of the Florida Marlins. The `Topes rallied from a 2-1 deficit in the third to beat UNM, 8-2, in front of 2,600 fans.

Up Next: The Lobos return to Mountain West Conference action at San Diego State, April 4-6. The Aztecs are currently in first place in the league standings at 5-1, while the Lobos are tied for fourth at 3-3.

• Cavazos-Galvez Named MWC Player of the Week ... Junior transfer Brian Cavazos-Galvez, an Albuquerque Manzano High School product, led the Lobos to a 5-1 non-conference record last week, going 15-for-26 from the plate (.577), with five doubles, eight RBI and 12 runs scored. He started the week going 4-for-8 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored in UNM's two-game series split with New Mexico State. In the first game of a four-game tilt vs. Vermont, Cavazos-Galvez went 4-for-4 with two doubles, three RBI and three runs scored in a 12-3 Lobo win. In the first game of Saturday's doubleheader vs. the Catamounts, he went 2-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored, and followed with another 4-for-4 outing from the plate in game two, scoring three more runs as the Lobos won each contest by a 9-4 margin. In the final game of the series, Cavazos-Galvez went 1-for-5 with an RBI single and two runs scored in an 8-3 win. Cavazos-Galvez is the second Lobo to receive the honor this season. Dane Hamilton earned the honor on March 24.

• Kerr Throws Complete Game ... Junior transfer Will Kerr became the first Lobo pitcher to throw a complete game when he went the distance against Vermont on March 28. Kerr was down 3-1 after three innings but buckled down and stopped the Catamounts the rest of the way for the 12-3 win. He sat down the final 10 batters of the game.

RED CROSS UNIT ... Junior pitcher Willy Kesler will be out for 2-3 weeks as he recovers from surgery on March 29 to remove his appendix ... Junior center fielder Max Willett broke his hand against Northern Iowa on March 8 when he was hit by a pitch and is expected to miss most of the season.
