Mike Terry Named Assistant Women's Basketball Coach

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Head coach Don Flanagan announced today that Mike Terry has been named the third assistant coach for the University of New Mexico women's basketball team. Terry comes to UNM from The Benjamin School in North Palm Beach, Florida.

"We are very excited to have Mike Terry as part of the UNM women's basketball program," Flanagan said. "He has done a great job building a prominent national high school program and has helped develop outstanding college athletes."

Terry spent six seasons as the co-head coach at The Benjamin School and led them to three 2A state titles. While at The Benjamin School, Terry amassed a record of 153-31, including a perfect 60-0 record in district play. He also led them to six consecutive district titles, six consecutive regional finals and six straight final fours. Terry has also developed college level talent at both the Benjamin School and in four years with the AAU program. Terry has either coached or helped develop over 25 players playing in college today.

"I am very excited to be a part of a winning college program and learning from some of the best coaches in the country," Terry said. "I can't wait to get started and help this program out in any way possible."

Terry is a native of Ajax, Ontario, Canada. He is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario with degrees in Human Kinetics and Secondary Education. Terry is married to Ronnalee and they have one girl Charlotte who is three.
