Four Lobos representing UNM at the ITA All-American Tournament

Tulsa, Okla. – UNM received a special honor in being asked to participate in the ITA All-American Tournament that requires players to make it past pre-qualifying rounds and qualifying rounds that is being hosted by Tulsa University at Tulsa, Oklahoma. This weekend three Lobos have made it to the qualifying round in singles, two lobos in the qualifying round of doubles and two lobos are in the main draw in doubles.

Conor Berg competed in the pre-qualifying round starting strong with a win over Marquette University’s Logon Collins with a score of 6-3, 6-4. He fell in a close match against University of North Carolina’s William Parker with a score of 7-6, 6-1.

Ben Dunbar, Phillip Anderson, and Jadon Phillips did not have to compete in the pre-qualifying round of singles as they have been already placed in the qualifying round of the tournament.

Dunbar/Berg have been placed in the qualifying round of doubles, who already have a top 15 doubles win under their belts this season with a win at the Denver Invitational against Texas Tech who is ranked number 11.

Phillips/Anderson have already made it to the main draw of doubles due to the duo’s National Doubles Ranking of 18.

UNM has a lot to look forward to this week with play beginning October 3rd with the qualifying round of singles.
