    COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --- The Mountain West Conference announced its 2011 football television schedule today and it features a minimum of 52 telecasts available on a national basis. Forty-seven of the 49 MWC-controlled games are set for Saturdays (96 percent) and every Conference match-up will be televised. New Mexico will have nine of its 12 games televised nationally. The other three games will be announced at a later date.

    CBS Sports Network will air 10 games and VERSUS is scheduled for eight telecasts. The MountainWest Sports Network - The Mtn. will televise 30 games, again featuring a unique telecast schedule that includes triple-headers on select weekends to maximize institutional exposure and provide fans all the MWC football action. The entire slate of games on VERSUS, CBS Sports Network and The Mtn. will be produced in high-definition (HD).

    UNM will have eight games broadcast on The Mtn., and one on the VERSUS network. The Arkansas and Nevada games are to be determined at this point. The SEC and WAC will announce their television schedules at a later date. An announcement will be made on GoLobos.com regarding those games.

    The 2011 season opener for New Mexico against Colorado State Sept. 3 will kick at 4 p.m. MT and be broadcast live on The Mtn. VERSUS will air the Texas Tech game on Sept. 17 at 1:30 p.m. in University Stadium.

    The Rio Grande Rivalry game on Oct. 1 with New Mexico State is slated for a 6 p.m. MT kick and will be broadcast on The Mtn. The TCU battle in Fort Worth is set for Oct. 22 at 12 p.m. MT, live on The Mtn. UNM will host Air Force on Oct. 29 at 12 p.m. on The Mtn.

    New Mexico opens November with a 6 p.m. MT game at San Diego State on Nov. 5, live on The Mtn. The UNLV contest on Nov. 12, which is the home finale, is on The Mtn., at 8 p.m. in University Stadium.

    UNM closes out the schedule at Wyoming on Nov. 19 at noon live on The Mtn. The Boise State game on Dec. 3 will be televised by The Mtn., at 4 p.m.
