Albuquerque, N.M. --- New Mexico women's soccer hosts Arizona State Tuesday at 7 p.m. inside the UNM Soccer Complex. The Lobos enter the match with a 4-2-2 overall record and bring an undefeated home mark into the game. UNM concludes its non-conference schedule this weekend with a road trip to Flagstaff, Ariz., to face Northern Arizona Sunday.

UTEP Border Shootout: UNM went 1-0-1 last weekend at the 8th Annual UTEP Border Shootout. The Lobos downed North Dakota State in overtime Friday, 2-1, and tied UTEP Sunday, 2-2. UNM scored four goals during the tournament including two by freshman Alexis Ball. Ball had the game-winning header against the Bison and scored Sunday against the Miners. Junior goalkeeper Shannon Adragna played every minute collecting four saves.

UNM Concludes Non-Conference Schedule: UNM concludes its non-conference schedule this week against Arizona State at home Tuesday starting at 7 p.m. and at Northern Arizona Sunday at 1 p.m. The Lobos are undefeated (4-0-1) against non-ranked opponents this year and look to continue that trend this week against the Sun Devils and Lumberjacks. UNM has however played three nationally-ranked opponents in Oklahoma State, Arizona and Colorado.

Sun Devil Review: Arizona State enters Tuesday's match with a 4-3-0 overall record and have won three of its last four matches. The Sun Devils dropped a 1-0 decision to No. 1 Santa Clara Saturday in Tempe, Ariz. ASU is no stranger to the Mountain West Conference after having played UNLV (L, 2-1) and TCU (W, 2-0) earlier this year. The Sun Devils are led offensively by Karin Volpe and Carly Kallas. Both Volpe and Kallas have two goals this season and a game-winner. Defensively, Briana Silverstri has played all seven matches in goal and has a 0.71 goals against average.

Tracking the Lumberjacks: Northern Arizona is 4-1-3 overall this season and 3-1-2 at home. The Lumberjacks have scored 11 goals but have only allowed one goal as of Monday, Sept. 24. Last weekend, NAU went 1-0-1 with a victory over Utah Valley State (2-0) and played Southern Utah to a scoreless draw. Senior goalkeeper Elizabeth Winkelblech ranks among the best in the nation. Winkleblech was recently named the Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the third time in a month. Winkleblech ranks second in the country in goals against average (.113) and in saves percentage (.971).

Series Information: The Lobos play two familiar foes this week in Arizona State and Northern Arizona. UNM battles the Sun Devils for the seventh time in school history Tuesday but trails the series, 4-2. ASU has however won the last four meeting with New Mexico. The last Lobo victory against ASU was on Sept. 27, 1997 in Tempe, when UNM downed the Sun Devils 1-0. The Lobos lead the all-time series with Northern Arizona, 5-1 and have won the last two meetings. UNM is 2-1 when playing in Flagstaff including winning the last meeting 1-0 on Oct. 3, 2004.
