TEMPE, Ariz. - A seventh inning rally by the Lobos just wasn't enough as the Nevada Wolf Pack (5-3) squeezed passed New Mexico, 6-5. It was the Lobos first loss at the Fiesta Bowl Softball Tournament hosted by Arizona State in Tempe, Ariz.

The Wolf Pack put five runs on the board in the second inning behind the bats of Jiliane Hartfiel, Stacy Mueller, and Jamie Waldron. Hartfiel had two RBIs while Waldrom and Mueller added one apiece.

New Mexico got a few runs back in the third with junior Cassie Chavez' three-run home run.

Nevada held the 5-3 lead until they added the game-winning run in the sixth. The RBI went to Hartfiel, her third of the day.

Sophomore Stephanie Kennedy led the Lobo rally in the seventh, bringing in two runs.

Candice Rainwater picked up her first win of the season for the Wolf Pack, giving up six hits. Getting the save was Robyn Ford-Feitz. Taking the loss for the Lobos was senior Amy Dumas. Dumas pitch two innings before giving way to sophomore Iraina Ogas.

The Lobos (4-4) take on No. 18 Texas A&M at 5:30 PST.
