UPCOMING GAMES: The University of New Mexico women's soccer team closes out its home season this weekend. The Lobos host UNLV for Fiesta Night on Friday at 6 p.m. and San Diego State on Sunday at noon. New Mexico then finished the regular season on the road at Air Force, Oct. 31and vs. Michigan State, Nov. 2.

Friday's matchup between UNLV and UNM should result in one of these team's first conference win of the season, providing there is no tie. The Lobos currently hold the 3-2 edge in the series after their 1-0 win last year at UNLV. The last time these two met in Albuquerque, the Rebels went home with a 2-1 win in overtime.

This year's match also marks the homecoming of two Albuquerque freshman. Foward Heather Preber, a graduate of La Cueva, and goalie Laura Kissock, a graduate of St. Pius X, will play in Albuquerque for the first time in their collegiate careers. Kissock currently has only appeared in one game for the Rebels, playing 20:01 minutes. Kissock has allowed one goal and made one save. Preber has played in five games, attempting five shots.

Friday night will also be Fiesta Night. The first 125 fans through the gate will get a free Lobos Soccer headband plus the chance to win other great prizes.

Sunday against the Aztecs will be New Mexico's final home game of the 2003 season. It is also Senior Day for defender Clare Pollock and midfielder Erchen Theys. San Diego State holds the 5-3-1 series lead but the Lobos have won the last two competitions.

UNLV (6-8-2, 0-3 MWC): UNLV has had limited success this season, especially in conference play. The Rebels are currently on a two game losing streak and have lost five of their last six. UNLV was the most recent victim of BYU, losing 3-2 on Saturday, Oct. 18th.

Offensively, junior Annii Magliulo is carrying the Rebels. Magliulo, in 16 games, has scored seven of the team's 21 goals and had three of their 17 assists.

Sophomore Jenna Huff has spent a majority of the time in net for UNLV. Huff has appeared in 14 games for a total of 1088:48 minutes. She has allowed 17 goals and made 86 saves for a goals-against-average of 1.41 and a save percentage of .835. Huff also has recorded four shut outs.

Junior Desiree Kelly has seen action in five games as a goalkeeper for the Rebels. Kelly, in 371:11 minutes, has allowed seven goals for a 1.70 GAA and made 21 saves for a .750 save percentage. She also has one shutout.
