Team
-- New Mexico team captains were junior quarterback B.R. Holbrook, senior linebacker Carmen Messina and senior safety Bubba Forrest.
-- The Lobos' 14-play, 57-yard field-goal drive spanning the first and second quarters tied the most plays they ran in a drive this season.
-- The 31 points UNM allowed were the fewest the defense has given up on the road since a 16-point effort at New Mexico State on Oct. 9, 2010. The previous low this season was 35 at San Diego State on Nov. 5.

Offense
-- WR Martize Barr, who played his third game since switching from defense, had career highs in receptions and yards with his two receptions for 32 yards in the first quarter. Barr also had a career-long 22-yard run in the second quarter.
-- RB Crusoe Gongbay established career-highs with three receptions for 29 yards.
-- QB B.R. Holbrook's 5-yard TD run in the second quarter was his first rushing TD of the season. He had a career-high 48 rushing yards.

Defense
-- CB Anthony Hooks forced his first fumble of the season in the first quarter. His first-quarter pass breakup was his second PBU of the season.

-- DE Brett Smith was his first of the season and second of his career.
-- DE Joseph Harris forced his team-leading fourth fumble of the season on a strip of Cowboys RB Alvester Alexander in the second quarter.
-- CB Destry Berry recovered that fumble, the first of his Lobo career. He also had a career-high two tackles for loss.
-- MLB Carmen Messina led UNM in tackles for the seventh straight game with 11. In the process, he tied the Mountain West career record for tackles with 433. He also tied a season high with two tackles for loss. It was his sixth straight game with double-digit tackles.

Special Teams
-- James Aho's 29-yard field goal to start the second quarter ended a string of five consecutive misses and was his first successful attempt since a 21-yarder in overtime against Sam Houston State on Sept. 24.
