• The Lobos get to 12-0 on the season by recording their 2nd-largest comeback in the 766-game history of The Pit with a 66-61 win over Creighton...UNM trailed by 16 (31-15) with 5:55 remaining in the 1st half

• UNM's biggest comeback in The Pit (which opened Dec. 1, 1966) is 18 points vs. UT Pan American on Dec. 8, 1998...the Lobos trailed 58-40 with 19:05 left in the game, but came back to win 101-94

• New Mexico improves to 12-0 for the third time in school history...the only other UNM teams to start 12-0 were 1967-68 (17-0) and 1973-74 (12-0)

• UNM also extends the nation's longest winning streak to 12 games

• The 12-game winning streak ties for the 3rd-longest in school history and is the best by a Lobo team since taking 14 in a row in 1977-78

• UNM started 4 of 10 from the floor in the 1st half, then missed 10 consecutive FGs and 19 of 20...the Lobos shot 20.6% (7-34) in the 1st half and a season-low 29.9% (20-67) for the game

• The last time a Lobo team shot less than 30% from the floor and won was Feb. 16, 1997...UNM shot 28.3% (17-60) in a 57-51 win over Tulsa in The Pit

• The Lobos got their first lead at 45-44 and outscored Creighton 38-21 in the second half...that's a 98-52 scoring edge in the 2nd half the past 2 games

• Creighton missed its first 9 shots of the second half and did not make its first basket until the 10:46 mark...the Bluejays shot 20.8% (5-24) after halftime and 6.7% (1-15) from 3-point

• New Mexico had a 44-40 rebounding edge, including 22-7 on the offensive glass

• UNM committed just 5 turnovers, giving them 9 in the past 2 games...the season average is down to 9.8 a game

• Two Lobos had double-doubles in the same game for the second time this season...Darington Hobson had 22 points and a career-high 16 rebounds while Roman Martinez recorded 11 points and 10 boards...Hobson (21-10) and A.J. Hardeman (10-10) did it at Hawai'i

• New Mexico has won 17 straight home games, tying for the 5th-longest in program history, and is 47-2 in its last 49 non-conference games at The Pit...the last loss was 73-60 to UTEP on Jan. 6, 2009

• Head coach Steve Alford is 40-4 in The Pit, 26-2 at home against non-conference competition

• The Lobos have a 102-6 record in The Pit as a ranked team

Individual

Junior forward Darington Hobson
• 4th double-double of the season with 22 points and a career-high 16 rebounds (9 offensive), and 6 assists
• 2nd half numbers: 19 of UNM's 38 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists while playing all 20 minutes
• leads the team in scoring, rebounding and assists, something no Lobo has ever done for an entire season

Senior forward Roman Martinez
• 1st double-double of the season with 11 points and a season-high 10 rebounds
• played the entire 2nd half
• just 2-9 from 3-point, but still 60% (26-43) from 3-point the past 6 games
• UNM is 26-4 when he plays more than 30 minutes in a game

Junior guard Dairese Gary
• 12 points and 2 steals
• first time as a Lobo he has scored in double figures in 4 straight games
• averaging 14.5 ppg the past 4 games...also 14 assists and just 2 turnovers the past 4 games
• started his 74th straight game
