Senior Linebacker Billy Strother
Question: How much does the injury to Fola Fashola affect you?
Billy Strother: That was a big loss for us because Fola was a big playmaker. He was really the life of the linebacker group. He always had everyone laughing and smiling but now that he is gone, we need to step up and take this game to another level.
Q: Are you glad to play BYU and get the Texas schools out of the way?
BS: Yeah, we are looking forward to making more plays and getting our defensive stats down.
Q: What does BYU bring to the table?
BS: They are very good. Their running back is very good and we'll have to watch out for him. They execute very well and they have only one thing on their minds, like we do, and that is winning.
Q: If you don't win the first conference game at home, are you in big trouble?
BS: Yeah, we don't have a choice. We are going for a championship and if we lose this first game it puts us in a bind. We have to win if we want a championship.
