New Mexico's men and women's track and field teams will travel to Berkeley, Calif. to compete in the Cal Brutus Hamilton Invitational at Edwards Stadium on Friday and Saturday, April 22-23.
The Lobos will compete against athletes from more than 15 universities from around the country, as well as a host of competitors representing club teams or unattached, who will descend on Berkeley this weekend for the Brutus Hamilton Open and Invitational. They include Fresno State, along with Academy of Art, Chico State, Harvard, Utah State, USF, Stanford and UC Davis.
Field events will begin Friday at 10 a.m. (MT) with the women's hammer throw, while running events will start at 2 p.m. with the women and men's 4x100m relay. On Saturday, the action starts in the field events with the women's javelin at 11 a.m. followed by running events beginning at 2:30 p.m. with the women and men's 100m hurdles. The women and men's 4x400m relay will be the final event of the meet and is scheduled to begin at 6:20 p.m. All times are subject to change.
