Lobos Move Up to Ninth at Southern Highlands Collegiate

The University of New Mexico men's golf team is tied for ninth after two rounds of the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship in Las Vegas, Nev. The Lobos shot a 1-over-par 289 in today's second round, moving them to 16-over-par (592) for the tournament. UNLV holds the two-round lead in the tournament at one-under par (575).

The Lobos were led by junior Spencer Levin's five-under-par 67. He is now tied for second place at -4 (73-67=140) after two rounds and trails South Carolina's Mark Anderson by two strokes. Individually for the Lobos are Jay Choi +3 (76-71=147), Charlie Beljan +6 (76-74=150), Mark Anderson +12 (79-77=156) and Miguel Griego +17 (78-83=161).
