Opening Statement:
"Watching (North Texas) on tape is a little deceiving because they're much quicker than they look on tape. They're quick at every position. When you try to break their press, we didn't have a mismatch quickness-wise - at least we didn't tonight. So, we couldn't really take advantage of (their press), which created some problems for us.

They had some kids that were good scorers and rebounded well. When we'd get a rebound, they'd come and slap it out of our hand and get possession again. I used to work a drill every single day and I haven't done it enough this year. So, we will get better at taking care of possessions when we get a rebound.

(North Texas) taught us something - we never quit. We hung in there when there were times it looked like they were going to win the game. They took us out of our offense but down the stretch I thought we performed well."

On North Texas' Rebounding Advantage:
"Rebounding, I thought, was they key to the game and their rebounding was better than our rebounding. We have to really go back to work on our rebounding."

On North Texas' Speed:
"I didn't think their speed would bother us like it did. We played DePaul and DePaul had speed. We played Nebraska and Nebraska had speed. The key with (North Texas) is that every kid has speed. Even their subs had speed. That becomes a problem after a while if you let it, and we let it at times tonight."

On scoring the game winning shot:
"You know in all honestly it is just the help of my teammates. Sara (Halasz) set a back screen and Amy (Beggin) drove it to the baseline. From Sara's back screen I used the screen and I was basically wide open. My teammates got me open for that shot."

Junior Amy Beggin

On North Texas:
"I think they looked really quick on tape. They were really a pressure team. It was good for us to get that though. I mean we had a lot of turnovers- that hopefully we won't have in the next couple games- with that pressure. We just have to handle it a little bit better. They are a good team and they are going to have a good year. This is the only team that we played all year that really denied out all the way to the wing. So it is just a matter of getting accustom to that pressure and back-cutting a little bit. (This game) just showed our character again that things weren't going right for us today, but we were still able to pull it out."
