ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Dairese Gary made two foul shots with 4.7 seconds remaining Saturday to give New Mexico a 60-58 win over Southern Mississippi.

The Lobos (4-4) trailed by 11 points early in the second half before rallying.

Southern Mississippi (4-3) wasted a career-high 27 points from R.L. Horton, who missed a running shot in the game's final second.

Horton also had two chances to give the Golden Eagles the lead with 10 seconds left, but New Mexico's Daniel Faris blocked the attempts in the lane both times.
