Lobo Softball Geared For 2008 Judi Garman Classic

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- New Mexico softball travels to Fullerton, Calif., this week to participate in the 2008 Judi Garman Classic. The Lobos are set to play five games including an exhibition against U.S. National Team on Friday at 7 p.m. UNM opens the Judi Garman Classic on Wednesday, March 19 against Long Beach State at 5:30. The Garman Classic presented by Coach USA is one of the most prestigious tournaments in the country.

The 16-team tournament has a round-robin format over a four-day span with each team guaranteed five games. The U.S. National Team will compete against teams in the Garman Classic as part of the "Bound for Beijing" Tour in preparation for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in China.
