Albuquerque, N.M. --- Lobo Sports Properties has announced that My 50-TV in Albuquerque, N.M. will pick up seven additional games for broadcast, including both exhibition games this week, and a road game at Texas Tech. In addition, CBS College Sports will broadcast both games of the Las Vegas Classic from the Orleans Arena on Dec. 22 and 23. Those nine adds to the schedule means that 29 of New Mexico's 33 games will be shown live on television.
My 50-TV will show both exhibition games, both of which have storylines attached. The opening exhibition on Wed., Nov. 3 against Eastern New Mexico is the opening game of the renovated Pit. The other exhibition game, Saturday, Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. against Manchester, sees head coach Steve Alford face off against the school that gave him his start in collegiate coaching.
The station will pick up four other home games: November 28 against San Diego, December 17 against Longwood, December 19 against The Citadel, and January 5 against Cal State Bakersfield. The station is also going to broadcast the December 29 game at Texas Tech.
The games with Longwood and The Citadel are a part of the Las Vegas Classic, and fans will be able to watch the final two games of that tournament in Las Vegas. CBS College Sports will broadcast both games on December 22 and 23, including New Mexico's game with Colorado, and their matchup on Dec. 23 against either Indiana, Coach Alford's alma mater, or Northern Iowa.
Along with the seven men's games, My 50-TV will also broadcast the women's exhibition game on November 9, and Lobo Sports Properties will announce the addition of more games in the near future.
