ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- The University of New Mexico men's tennis team beat Old Dominion, 4-1, for the second time this season. The two programs met during the HEB Invitational on March 1 with the Lobos coming away with the 4-0 upset.
Kamil Pajkowski improved to 11-9 in singles and sealed the win for the Lobos with a 6-1, 2-6, 6-1 victory in the No. 6 spot against Yakov Diskin. Chris Parkes won his 14th singles match of the season against Matt Fawcett, 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 5 spot. At No. 3, Graeme Kassautzki beat Tobias Fanselow 7-6, 6-0.
New Mexico took a 1-0 lead by winning the doubles point. Max Jones and Pajkowski went 8-4 against Aleksandr Seleznev and Eidy Igarashi. Chris Parkes and Johnny Parkes won 8-3 over Fanselow and Rodrigo Souza.
UNM improved to 11-6 overall with two matches remaining before MWC play begins. On Friday, the Lobos take on South Alabama at 2 p.m.
