7 Lobos Earn Academic All-Mountain West Honors

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- Seven University of New Mexico football players earned Academic All-Mountain West honors for the fall of 2011, the conference announced Thursday.

To be eligible, the players must have a 3.0 grade point average or higher and have played in the majority of the team's games.

The Lobos who made the list are (school year determined by academic standing rather than athletic eligibility):

Junior kicker Justus Adams (a 3.61 grade point average in Business Administration)
Sophomore center Bratton, LaMar (3.03, Undecided)
Senior defensive end Joseph Harris (3.25, Interdisciplinary Film and Digital Media)
Senior deep snapper Evan Jacobsen (3.27, History)
Senior safety Matthew Raymer (3.41, Civil Engineering)
Senior tight end Lucas Reed (3.01, University Studies)
Senior punter Ben Skaer (3.14, Business Administration)
