New Mexico snaps a 10-game slide against Texas Tech with a 27-24 win over the Red Raiders on senior Wes Zunker's 43-yard FG as time expired...the last time the Lobos defeated Texas Tech was a 29-24 win in Albuquerque on September 22, 1984...UNM had dropped 27 of 28 games since 1984 against BCS schools (beating Baylor in 2002 at home) before tonight's victory.

For Zunker, it's his 2nd game-winning FG in his past 4 games at University Stadium...on Nov. 7, 2003, Zunker nailed a 33-yard FG against Colorado State as time expired to win in 37-34

Lobo junior DonTrell Moore rushed for 76 yards on 20 carries, becoming the Mountain West Conference's all-time leading rusher. He now has 2,827 yards in his career, surpassing San Diego State's Larry Ned, who had 2,800 yards from 1999-2001...Moore had a streak of 9 straight 100-yard games at University Stadium snapped...Moore rushed 4 times for 30 yards on the game-winning drive

Tonight's attendance was 38,746, the third-highest in UNM history...New Mexico is averaging 36,803 through its first two home games this season.

New Mexico sophomore QB Kole McKamey's 1st quarter rushing touchdown was the first of his career. He added another rushing TD in the second quarter and completed a pass to Hank Baskett for his first passing TD of the season. He finished with 49 yards rushing on 10 carries, and 12/24 passing for 173 yards. McKamey started 1 of 5 passing for 8 yards in the 1st quarter, then went 11 of 19 for 168 yards in the final 3 quarters...on the final drive, McKamey rushed 1 time for 10 yards and completed a 14-yard pass play to Marcus Smith
