*Jake Carr, Reggie Ellis, and Brett Kennedy all earned their first starts of the season

*Jaymar Latchison saw his streak of 25 consecutive starts end, and Ugo Uzodinma's streak of 10 straight ended, leaving just three active streaks of double-figure starts: Anthony Hooks with 26, Dillon Farrell with 14, and Carmen Messina with 12.

*UNM's captains for the game were Michael Scarlett, James Wright, and Brett Kennedy.

*The Lobos allowed a score on the opening drive of the game for the first time this season.

*UNM's James Aho's 47-yard field goal in the first quarter tied him with Colby Cason and Bob Berg for second place on the career UNM field goal list with 41.

*When Arkansas' Marquel Wade returned a kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown, it was the first kickoff return for the touchdown against the Lobos since September 8, 2001 when Texas Tech's Ivory McCann went 100 yards.

*Carmen Messina's interception in the second quarter was the second of his career. The pass was deflected by Destry Berry.

*Lamaar Thomas had 159 all-purpose yards in the game.

*UNM won the turnover battle 2-0 and didn't allow a sack one week after allowing nine.
