  • The Lobos beat Texas Tech 80-63 to improve its record to 9-2...Texas Tech is now 6-4

  • The Lobos' 81.8% (9-11) accuracy from 3-point is a school record and tied the Mountain West Conference record (San Diego State - Dec. 15, 2006)...the previous record was 72.2% (13-18) vs. San Francisco State in 2003.

  • UNM made its first 8 attempts from 3-point, including Dairese Gary's one-handed, off-balance 40-footer at the halftime buzzer...the Lobos were 6 of 6 in the 1st half and finished the game making 3-5

  • New Mexico has won 29 consecutive non-conference home games and 45 of its last 46

  • All 10 Lobos had scored at the 4:11 mark of the first half when Roman Martinez made two FTs

  • UNM outrebounded Texas Tech 21-11 in the 1st half and 30-23 for the game

  • Steve Alford is now 2-4 in head-to-head coaching match-ups against Bob Knight...after winning his first 3 games at The Pit, Knight has now lost two in a row in Albuquerque, also falling to West Virginia in a 2005 Sweet 16 game.

  • UNM held Texas Tech's leading scorers - Martin Zeno and Alan Voskuil - to a combined 5 points and 0 rebounds...the duo came into the game averaging a combined 30.3 points and 10.1 rebounds...Zeno was held scoreless and had just 1 FG attempt in 5 minutes, while Voskuil (1-6 FGs, 2-2 FTs) didn't score until 3:31 into the second half.

  • New Mexico set a season-high with 11 steals and matched its season high with 6 blocks
