New Mexico Head Coach Don Flanagan
"Looking at the statistics first thing I want to say is, last game we couldn't get to 40 now we are trying to get to 100. Having three people hit 20 points might be a first. I can't remember the last time we had three players hit 20 points. Just to have three players hit double figures is good and we had four. I thought Georonika Jackson who has not played a great deal played real well. Brandi I thought had her best game I've seen her have in a long time. For us to only have 13 turnovers under that pressure is phenomenal."
"This win is not only big for the team but it's big for the fans. We have lost a lot of games in this building, which we don't normally do. I thought that was two fold, it was good for our kids confidence and it was good for our fans. They felt good about us again and I think that they came and saw an excellent game. The President of the University came in to the locker room after the game and he was really proud of the game the players played. He is very supportive of athletics and I appreciate him coming in."
UNLV Head coach Regina Miller
"It's a great place to play. I think you have to play against the opponent very well here to keep the crowd out of the game, and obviously New Mexico responded from not playing so well in The Pit this year and their big three really stepped up. We didn't counter that with our big three, Shamela Hampton, Sequoia Holmes, and we just need more production from Brittany Halberg. It's a great place to play, and those three played great for New Mexico."
