TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of New Mexico's hot bats couldn't silence Pima Community College, dropped its first game of the fall season, 4-3, at the University of Arizona Tournament in Tucson, Ariz.

The Lobos out hit Pima, collecting a total of 14 hits on the day and only striking out once. Five Lobo batters collected at least 2 hits, while everyone in the lineup had a least one hit on the day.

UNM put one run up on the board in each of the first three innings while Pima scored three runs in the first inning off of four hits given up by junior Katie Gregg. Pima's winning run came in the fifth.

Senior Ashley Shartzer and junior Jamar Bynum were both 2-3 while junior Kristina Schmallen and freshmen Christina Rios and Ashley Allen were 2-4.
