Sophomore Fullback Adrian Byrd
Question: I guess the big win at San Diego State set you up for a big game this week at Utah. What do you think?
Adrian Byrd: "Yeah it is going to be a really tough and physical game, but we're looking forward to it. We came out on top last year, so I know they are going to be looking to get back at us."
Q: Do you guys have anything to prove to yourselves right now?
AB: "I think everybody on the team believes we need to be a little more consistent. Once we get to that point we will be playing really good football."
Q: What kind of a step up is playing Utah for you?
AB: "It's a big step up. They are a good team with a new coach. They don't have any losses in the conference. It's going to be a really good test for our team, being on the road and playing against a really physical team. I think we can go out there and play the kind of ball that we play. If we do so, I think we can be successful."
Q: What is the key to winning? What do you have to do on your side of the ball?
AB: "The talent is definitely there. We just need to come out and play from the beginning with a sense of urgency about ourselves. We need to play from the beginning and be a lot more consistent."
Q: Do you feel like this game is for the conference title?
AB: "I don't want to get ahead of myself, but it is a big game. We already have a loss so it will be good for us if we can put a loss up under their belt."
